There are many excellent books on business and investing. The more you learn about how business works, the more you understand how your own investments move with different market changes. Below are several websites which provide good information, followed by a variety of books to get you started.

Websites:

The Motley Fool at www.fool.com.  This website has a wealth of information about all aspects of investing.  There are also lively discussion boards where people share their ideas. The majority of this site is free.  The Motley Fool has also published several basic investing books for those who are interested in stock market investing.

Investors Business Daily. The website has an excellent ranking system to identify indicators of corporations in which you might be interested in investing.  There is a fee to use parts of this website.  www.investors.com.

MorningStar. This website is a wealth of information and ranks mutual funds and other investments. There is a fee to use parts of this website. www.morningstar.com. 

The Wall Street Journal. This is the premier newspaper for business and has a wealth of information on the world each day. If you've got the time, it is worth it. There is a fee to use parts of this website. www.wsj.com.

ValueLine. Helps investors get the most accurate and independently created research information available and teach them how to use it to meet their financial objectives. There is a fee to use parts of this website. www.valueline.com.

Kiplinger's personal finance, Money, Fortune, and Forbes magazines and associated websites.  These magazines cover a wide variety of topics, not always just investments. Many articles are excellent. Readers can learn more about investing but must keep in mind that each month the goal is to sell magazines, the "hot" tips may not be so hot.
